LET'S MAKE ART
A little of my story...
It all started with a couple of old film cameras I found in my Dad's attic and a love affair with taking pictures of sunsets at the local beach.
Now, I'm your go-to wedding photographer for artistic, filmy and earthy wedding photos, ones that make you look as beautiful as you felt in the moment, using your surroundings to enhance your portraits.
"Her photography is a work of art. I gasped when I saw how she had made the best day of my life look so beautiful so naturally."
Behind the lens...
Sarah Naomi Dean
I have had the honour of photographing couples on their special day around the UK for three years now. Usually I photograph weddings in Cardiff, Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire, but I'm happy to travel to wherever you need me!
I grew up in the North West of England in a seaside village just outside of Liverpool. Growing up with the beach on my doorstep was a big influence on my love for naturalistic photography. I started my passion for taking photographs with landscape and street photography and I spent some time living in Japan where I connected with the camera culture there. I've since built on this passion and enjoy harnessing the nostalgic feel of film and applying to this my wedding photography style.
If you'd like me to be your storyteller, creative collaborator and artist who can turn your special moments into timeless memories, get in touch today!
My aim is to create emotive images that will enable you to relive your wedding day for many years to come. I am truly passionate about the work I do and my favourite part of being a photographer is getting to know new people and hearing about their stories.
I will give you my full care and attention by building a relationship with you that helps you to feel relaxed in front of the camera, particularly if you’re nervous about having your photos taken (Oh trust me, I get it!). I have been commended on my ability to offer clear directions if you're not sure what to do while also encouraging you to enjoy yourself in front of the camera. You'll be surprised how quickly you'll get used to it and start to love it!
During weddings I work discreetly as well as chatting to guests and family so they too can enjoy the experience of having their photos taken. I enjoy going out of my way to capture that perfect shot, whether that means climbing over fences, crawling on the floor, getting soaked in the rain - you name it! I’ll do it to ensure we get that perfect shot.
Once you book with me I have clear steps to help you get organised as I recognise this may be the first time you've ever had to book a photographer. Feel free to drop me an email if you'd like to have a chat with me either online or in person over a coffee before booking. It's so important you feel you have made the right choice for you.
A lot of my inspiration comes from film photography and street photography which aids me when helping you create unposed but timeless portraits. Meeting new people is one of my favourite things about being a photographer, and I consider myself lucky with each couple who decides to work with me. Every couple is welcome here who feels connected to my work - regardless of sexual orientation, race, gender identity, etc.
To me, weddings are less about "perfection" and more about the connection between two people and those who matter most to them. I completely appreciate that you're entrusting a wedding photographer to encapsulate your love in these photographs which you can look back on for decades to come. They deserve to be documented with the upmost care.
