Ross & Laura

Arnos Vale, Bristol UK October 2023

There's nothing quite like an autumnal wedding!

Ross and Laura Brown celebrated their relationship on a crisp and surprisingly warm and sunny October day at the picturesque Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol.

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about this wedding is its naturalistic charm. Surrounded by the vibrant colours of the autumn leaves and the peaceful ambiance of the venue, Ross and Laura chose a setting that reflected their love for nature and its inherent beauty.
The season's warm tones was a running thought throughout all aspects of the day, from the gradient wine and peach colours of the bridesmaids dresses, to the pumpkins perfectly framing the aisle Laura walked down.

Timelessness was another key element of this special day. The couple embraced a traditional approach, creating an aura of nostalgia that echoed through every moment. From Laura's exquisite lace gown to the classic floral arrangements, everything exuded a sense of elegance and grace.

Despite the grandeur of the venue with its Georgian buildings, Ross and Laura's wedding felt deeply personal, with their closest family and friends surrounding them. Every smile and touch was a testament to the deep connection they shared, making each captured moment all the more heartfelt.

A touch of folk-inspired elements added a unique charm to this autumnal affair. From the delicate illustrations on the song sheets, the soft melodies from the violinist, to the place settings that were dedicated to Ross and Laura's grandparents, all bringing a sense of warmth and familiarity to the celebration. It felt as if every corner of the venue had a story to tell.

As a photographer, it was an honour to witness and capture the pure and genuine emotions shared by Ross and Laura. Not only was it timeless, but there were so many pockets of loud joy and celebration and it was a wonderful to be a part of it all.
